Pokémon Legends: Arceus NSP XCI offers a different take on the traditional Pokémon formula, combining monster catching with action RPG exploration. Set in the Hisui region, the game takes players to an earlier period in the history of the Sinnoh region, where the relationship between people and Pokémon is still developing. Players take on the role of a member of the Galaxy Expedition Team and work to create the region’s first Pokédex.
The game places a strong focus on exploration and catching Pokémon in the wild. Instead of relying entirely on traditional battles, players can approach Pokémon directly, observe their behavior, throw Poké Balls, gather resources, and explore large open areas. This makes the adventure feel more active and gives catching Pokémon a much larger role.
